Name

I suppose our engine is waiting for a name, even if it's going to become closed-source, I'd find it sweet if we name it somehow. Suggestions are opened, but i personally don't own that fantasy one needs in order to find great names.

How about we call the engine 'Aerodrive', and the actual game is called something much more epic? :) Alex Trujillo 18:59, 9 December 2007 (CST)
A new name, Stirling engine has been proposed by Alex's fervent fantasy. To me, sounds really nice. Let us know your opinions about that! --Giulio 06:51, 10 December 2007 (CST)
I like "Stirling Engine." That name makes it seem shiny! --Jacobdruker 22:04, 15 December 2007 (EST)

Development

I'm here again, sorry but I've been quite busy and didn't find the time to work on the project as I would.

Anyway, I was thinking about the practical part of development of our engine (but also other stuff): I see the basics are already set and a good and useful page is up. However, it'd be helpful to know what's the exact progress each programmer has reached. Stuff we should have set up and working include:

  • Python (!)
  • Python-ogre -- 3D framework
  • libnoise / fxgen

We could eventually discuss these issues in the upcoming IRC meeting --Giulio 10:44, 25 January 2008 (EST)
